A tale of a Dog and Cat

Skylar spies a wee sparrow in the flowers....

oh what is that? what is that? says Zinny

Sniff sniff, yes you are my best friend in crime purrrrs Skylar.

Here are three photos I snapped, via cell phone, on Friday Halloween day. Our backyard is full of wildlife both natural and other! Zinny, our female JRT, is our hunter for chippy squirrels, rats and rodents, racoons and possums, and chases an ocassional crow. Skylar, our female once ferral deep chocolate kitten, is our hunter of birds. Add the fact that Trenten and I have 2 bird feeders for our feathers friends, you can imagine how much Skylar hangs out at the kitchen slider. Zinny and Skylar are serious "best of buds". Though before Zinny entered the family fold, Codi-Bear (my affectionate nickname for Lemony) and Skylar used to terrorize each other. It still happens though not at much since Zinny HORDES Skylar much to herself.

On this glorious Halloween afternoon, Zinny and Skylar were taking a break together, checking out the happenings in the backyard. They are so funny together. These pictures are RARE moments of them together. Normally Zin is chasing Sky up and down the hallway or Sky is harrassing the blazes out of Zin. I live in Bedlam!!
